When we embarked on this election campaign, back in March this year, we had in our minds the workload of Andrew's previous two campaigns (against John Howard in 2004 and for the Senate here in Tasmania in 2007). What we didn't consider was the main difference between this campaign and the others - we now have two children. Oh, and a small business to run (Rugs and Kilims, a handmade rug shop). 

We find everything now takes three times as long to do as it used to - if it gets done at all! Then add some sleep-deprived nights, the occasional sickness in the family, juggling family time with work on the campaign, the groceries, cleaning the house, catching up with friends...

Some days Andrew's best efforts to work on the campaign are derailed by the smallest things, like a quick snack...

or something more important, like a lesson on Australia's fauna...

but of course he always makes time for a cuddle!
